About RBI

RBI was established in 1935. It has its central office in Mumbai since 1937. During the nationalization of bank in 1949, RBI became Indian government owned bank. It regulates issues on Bank notes and secures monetary stability in India. It governs the currency and credit system of the country. It frames modern monetary policy to aid complex economy and to increase its growth. RBI is the banker of the state and central government and also maintains the banking accounts of all scheduled banks. It is the one that issues currency and coins, and supply it in adequate quantity and in good quality to the public.

RBI is recruiting for Grade B General Officers, Pharmacist, Assistant Librarian, Medical Consultant, Director, Security Guard, Junior Engineer in Civil and Electrical discipline, Research Position, Legal Consultant, Assistant Manager Rajbasha, Customer Relationship Officer, Web Designer, Accounts Specialist, Analyst, Project Administrator and so on. The selection of candidates is based on online examination, Language Proficiency Test and interview. The online examination comprises four papers of 300 marks. The questions are of Commerce, Economics, Finance and Management, current economic situation of country, General Awareness, Reasoning and Aptitude and of official or local language. Candidates are selected on merit basis in accordance with number of vacancies.
